Curriculum + personalisation

Programmes with structure — without treating every child the same.

The curriculum defines what matters. The learner's evidence helps Scout decide the route: what to teach now, what to revisit, what needs intervention and what is ready to move forward.

Programmes

The right curriculum. A different route for every learner.

Scout does not replace the curriculum with random adaptive questions. Each learner is anchored to an appropriate programme, while their route through it is personalised by evidence.

Years 1–6

Primary Learning

A strong National Curriculum foundation that identifies gaps early, builds secure understanding and keeps important knowledge returning until it sticks.

Each child works from their own Learning Profile. Scout can teach new concepts, revisit earlier knowledge, place weak areas into Focus Zone and adjust the plan as evidence changes.

Selective entry

GL 11+ Complete Preparation

A complete personalised preparation programme built across the skills required for GL-style selective-entry assessment — not simply a bank of practice papers.

Scout develops the underlying curriculum first, then combines targeted teaching, reasoning practice, vocabulary and reading development, timed work, assessment and retention as readiness grows.

Years 7–11

Secondary & GCSE Foundations

Personalised secondary learning that strengthens the foundations students need as work becomes more demanding, with GCSE preparation integrated appropriately in Years 10 and 11.

Rather than treating a year group as one ability level, Scout keeps a skill-by-skill picture of what is secure, what needs attention and what should be revisited next.

One principle across every programme

Teach what is needed. Find what is missing. Revisit what may be forgotten. Move forward when the evidence supports it.

Curriculum anchored

The child remains connected to an age- and programme-appropriate curriculum rather than being sent through disconnected adaptive content.

Skill-level visibility

Scout tracks individual skills so a broad subject score does not hide a specific weakness or an area already ready for greater challenge.

Teaching before testing

Where teaching is needed, concepts are explained and supported before independent practice is expected.

Review is part of the programme

Secure learning can return later. Retention matters because progress is more valuable when it lasts.

🎓 11+ Preparation

11+ preparation that adapts to the child

Two children preparing for the same test should not automatically receive the same study plan. Scout assesses across all 11+ subjects, then builds an individual route toward the exam.
